This beautiful and architecturally unique home on Franklin Pike in the Oak Hill neighborhood, built by Bricker Design Group, was completed earlier this year and offers several high-end amenities such as multiple kitchens, large outdoor entertaining areas, a theater, wine room, guest apartment, five fireplaces, an elevator and six bedrooms.
The interior is flooded with natural light thanks to massive floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the home that allow the outdoors to blend into the living spaces. The builder used multiple surfaces throughout the house including marble, wood, stacked stone with mortar, metal and glass. Large, open rooms flow easily together and despite massive spaces enhanced with high ceilings, the home manages to still feel warm and airy.
This Oak Hill home was purchased for $6.75 million on June 1 and then re-listed for sale before the owners even moved in. Agent Rebecca Norris DiNapoli sold the home to a family who thought they needed all 14,000 square feet of living space, but it turns out they didn’t, so they closed on the home and then re-listed with Realtor Tim Thompson a few weeks later.
“A very nice couple fell in love with the house and it was perfect for them,” DiNapoli said. “When they purchased it, they were excited about being able to put up an adult child and family who had just sold their own home yet hadn’t found another one. Right after closing, their child and family did find a home, therefore the family decided to sell since it was now too big for just the two of them.”
Thompson said Bricker Design Group builds residential homes, but also a lot of industrial spaces in and around downtown Nashville, so they incorporate thoughtful uses of surfaces like metal without making the home feel like a commercial space.
“The kitchen/living/dining area is so wide open, and with all the glass, it’s like you are living outside but inside,” he said.
Thompson has the home listed for sale for $7.4 million.
